Can't help with Hose House but High Park is towards the North end of Southport (North Meols) roughly between Blowick and Churchtown. If you turned right at the northernmost end of Roe Lane you would be in High Park.
I'll keep an eye open for Hose House. _________________ Particular surnames of interest locally - Taylor and Aspinwall.

Hi Gill,
Glad to have been of help.
Found this on registers;
Baptism: 10 Feb 1673/4 St Cuthbert, North Meols, Lancashire, England
William Howerth - Son of Henery Howerth
Abode: of ye Hose House
Baptism: 11 Feb 1673/4 St Cuthbert, North Meols, Lancashire, England
John Ball - Son of Barnaby Ball
Abode: of ye Hosehouse
So it doesn't look like just one house unless there were several families living in it.
Happy Hunting,

hi mike yes i,ve seen the registers online for st cuthberts and william and henery are part of my howard line.also on rootsweb i have found the line and henery is also listed as of hose house. at one point the balls and the howards where connected via marriage . also i have seen transcribed copies of henery and williams wills where they are passing the property down the line but it doesn,t say where abouts it is. one generation are listed as from rowe lane so i wondered if it was there but don,t know if there are any maps that go that far back
thanks any way for your tips

Hi Gill,
Found This in The Annals.
1725
Townships 2. Northmeales and Birkdale.
The first is divided into 8 parts or villages, viz. : Churchtown, Marshside,
Higher Blowick, Lower Blowick, New Row, The Hoeshouses, Crossens, The Banks.

The Hose Houses appear on Aikin's map of 1795 as "Horse" Houses and were at the south west end of Roe (Row) Lane and to the south of the Little London area. On the Yates map of 1786 they seem to be parallel with Little London. They appear to have been situated near the north end of Lord Street and I can't help but wonder if that is how South Hawes (the forerunner of Southport) got its name.
I am also descended from those early Howards and Joyce Otterstrom woh maintains the Park database on Rootsweb reckons that everyone with a Howard in their line is related - to her and to each other.
